Latest update! Two weddings at once is a lot of work (don't worry, they aren't both mine). So I apologize for the lack of updates in the past month. But that time has been well spent on preparing for my latest endeavors.
First - check out my store at elizabethkidder.storenvy.com. It's where you can buy my original artwork. The more I sell, the more I have to create to fill up the Wall o' Art again.
Picture
Next - if you don't have a few hundred to drop on an original painting, why not become a patron? Check out patreon.com/ekidderillustrator where, for as little as $5 a month, you can become a patron of my work and support me in creating new artwork, releasing new pages from my graphic novel, and fund a permanent space in local galleries.
Finally - waiting for the next installment of Jannah Station? I have begun work on the first chapter in Jannah Station: Academic Suicide. We've also printed a limited run of the Omnibus of Jannah Station: A Soft Murder, with exclusive content and a new cover at only $15. Contact me to purchase. We'll also be releasing the first issue of both A Soft Murder and Academic Suicide as a weekly online serial comic. Stay tuned for the first page!

Hello again, I've missed you all! January decided to pretend to be December, and bring back all of the life changing obstacles that I thought were behind me. But don't worry, I never truly left. I've just been hunched over a desk exploding new art onto paper, and I'd like to share some upcoming events.
First off - Valentine's Day is coming up, and whether you're experiencing Arousal, Attraction, or Attachment, the "Stage of Love" series has something for everyone.
Picture
"Attraction" Available in a set of 3, 5, or 10 cards w/envelopes on www.Society6.com/ElizabethKidder
Pick your favorite, and buy them as a print, card or phone case to send to your loved ones. And as a Valentine's Day gift from me to you, CLICK HERE to receive Free Shipping on your order! Hurry, it expires February 9th at midnight.

Next up - the omnibus of "Jannah Station: A Soft Murder" is tantalizingly close to physical publication, which means you can finally get all four parts of A Soft Murder in a fancy paperback version, hopefully this month. If you just can't wait, the omnibus is already available in digital format on Amazon. If you want to try out Issue #1 before you buy them all, you can still purchase the individual issues in digital format on Amazon too.

April showers bring Friday shows! My next First Friday show is set for this upcoming April, as long as all the chips fall into place. It'll be held underground at the New South Collective on Gay St. downtown, and I'll be showcasing the Sexy series, prints from Jannah Station, and new art and pages for my upcoming graphic novel, Despina. It'll be released on my website as a serial, with a new page each week, but until that starts up later this month, here is the teaser first page of the book.

Happy 2014 everyone! I hope you all had lovely holidays. I'm excited to be back at my artwork, and have some new work to show off, as well as some in-progress work and upcoming shows.
Picture
Did you see the preview above on my Facebook page? The latest in the "Sexy" series will be premiering later this week on both my Facebook and Society6 pages.
Picture
A variant of the "Sexy" series, "Tous Femme" #1 and #2 are available on Society6. And just in time, because there is free shipping on all my products till midnight on January 15. Just click HERE for your promo code.
Picture
In preparation for my cousin's first baby, I spent the last days of 2013 painting my most recent mural, "Owlovely" in little baby Hayden's room. I'm also opening up my freelance business to include murals, so if you have a room that needs something original and exciting, please contact me through email or form.
Picture
Last but not least, some preliminary character sketches for the leader of the Wulfgard in my upcoming graphic novel series. It's still in development, but I hope to show you more finalized characters as time goes by.

Just so you know, there is another First Friday show in the works for sometime this early spring. As that progresses, I'll let you know, and hopefully you'll be able to make it out for some great art. Have a good rest of your week, and be sure to Like me on Facebook!

First Friday Aftershocks

First off - a great big thank you to all who attended my first First Friday show this past week! Two of the pieces on the wall have sold already, and I had an impromptu interview with WBIR10, due to the nasty weather. The show will still be up the rest of December, so make sure to stop by to do some artistic Christmas shopping! If you aren't in the area, but want to see what is available, check out my First Friday page on my website for specs and prices.
Next - "Journey to Vapourri" is still going strong on NeonMob, so go check it out, as well as the spiffy new layout of their website.
Then - be sure to check out my Society6 page. Everyday there is a new special offer to celebrate Christmahanukwanza. Today - $6 off all t-shirts. Also, free shipping on orders over $50 ends Friday, so check it out soon.
And now - only the front cover is left on the color omnibus of "Jannah Station: A Soft Murder." Check out the rear cover on the Old Sins Facebook page, and read issue #1 for free at OldSins.com.
Last but not least - my friend William Nunn did a review series of the last two seasons of Sherlock, as well as speculation on the upcoming season, and invited me to join him on the Season 1, Episode 2 review of "The Blind Banker." Caution: SPOILERS ahead, but you should really should have seen the series by now anyways. You can see our review here, and check out the others in his series as he uploads more.
That's all for now, but as always, check back every Wednesday for a new post, and check out my Facebook page for the latest updates on projects.

  • My trading card set "Journey to Vapourri" will be premiering November 26 on NeonMob. "Journey to Vapourri" features entries from a journal created in 1856, detailing the existence of dinosaurs and humans coexisting on a small island off the coat of Australia called Vapourri. You can click on the picture above to join the Facebook event for the release, and here to join NeonMob for free and start collecting five packs a day of over twenty different card sets by amazing artists.

  • For those who don't know about First Fridays, galleries all over the country traditionally have openings for new shows on the first Friday of each month. I've recently been given a First Friday show this December 6 at Bliss downtown in Market Square. It will feature both old favorites, such as "Key to the Soul" and new additions, like "Nereidum" above, for sale, as well as tote bags, buttons, framed and unframed prints and canvases. The closer we get to December, the more information, and the more art, I'll have to share.
Picture
"Dia de los Muertos Princesas"
  • Thank you to all who attended the Day of the Dead show at ZaPow! gallery in Asheville, NC. I'm pleased to announce "Dia de los Muertos Princesas" which hung in the window of ZaPow! this past month, has sold - I hope the new owner likes it in their home. For those who wanted it in their home, don't despair - the prints are still available for sale on my Society6 page.
Picture
  • New personal fun project - animal mix & match! Throw two animals together, and see what happens, especially when the ideas come from my Facebook followers. After the first batch, I'm looking for suggestions for new animal combos - just click on the picture above and submit your ideas. The best ones will be printed and shown at my First Friday show this December.

Goodness that was a awesome long post! Thanks for sticking through to the end, I hope you liked it, and look forward to more event updates later this month.
