Falling into place, just in time for Halloween and the release of Wreck-It Ralph, is my Sergeant Calhoun costume! Made from football gear, Nerf guns and battery powered lights, held together by elastic and ingenuity, this costume not only amped up my Halloween, but is convention-read

I love it!! Where did you get the battery powered lights, and how did you put together your costume? I'd love to put together a Sgt Calhoun costume for myself.

Thanks, it actually wasn't too hard to construct, but it was a lot of DIY-ing. The lights were a string, ten bulbs long, of battery powered Christmas lights, that I painted red with stained glass paint, which you can get in little bottles at craft stores. The battery was attached behind the armor on my back. The armor was football gear that I painted black with silver accents, the same for the Nerf guns. It took a few steps, but in the end came out looking pretty good. :)

Just wondering if you have any more pictures of this. My kids are dying to do Wreck it Ralph themed costumes this year and they want me to be Sgt Calhoun. Wasn't sure if I could do it until I saw this. I'd love a couple more pics so I could put it together for them. GREAT JOB!!! You look fantastic!!
