It may not be the most topical to have a "Frozen" reference, but after the seemingly endless month of icy snow and bone-chilling winds, I think we all need a little fun. So let's roll right into March with a bang! This week is Knoxville's 3rd annual Fashion Week, where I will be modeling in a bunch of different events, including the grand finale on Saturday night! I'm super excited to be showcasing work from local designers, and even more excited to be on the inside track at a fashion week, which I believe will be akin to being backstage at a dance performance, but with crazier hair and more high heels. Pics will be posted on the Modeling page. My next painting in the mermaid series, "Arcesso", was inspired by my trip to Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies during my honeymoon, and getting to pet the stingrays, who act just like dogs when you show them a tasty squid. I would definitely have one for my next pet! You can see the entire painting on my Facebook page, or by clicking the picture above. My next Wine and Canvas class is going to be a DATE NIGHT! Bring a friend, or special someone, to Blue Coast Grill, Wednesday March 18 from 6-9 PM, where you'll each paint your own canvas. Then, you'll be able to put the two together to make one large complete painting! Register for "On Top of Ol' Smoky" today by clicking here or the picture above. I've started photography sessions with Black Cat and Birdie, a local handmade shop selling bags, totes and other fabric goods, all original and adorable. You'll soon see these photographs and their amazing subjects on their Etsy page, where you can also place a custom-order for a special gift.
Keep on the lookout for fast-approaching conventions, new paintings, and, as always, you can Contact Me with questions or commissions.
